Spring Oaks Kitchen
From challenge to centerpiece
A closed-off kitchen became a warm, hardworking gathering space with better circulation, hidden storage, and a central island built for everyday life.
What the homeowners needed
The original kitchen made everyday routines harder than they needed to be. The work triangle was tight, storage spilled into adjacent rooms, and the family had no natural place to gather while meals were being prepared.
How the space changed
We opened the room, centered the new plan around a generous island, and used warm wood cabinetry to connect the kitchen to the rest of the home. Tall storage and carefully placed task lighting give everything a purpose without making the room feel busy.
The finished result
The finished kitchen now supports cooking, homework, conversation, and weekend hosting in one calm space. It feels substantial but not formal, with details designed to keep working long after the reveal.
